Oooh. The synchromystical crowd is going to have a field day with this one. The symbolism used in the “ramp to” and “the staggered island” is Plato’s Atlantis [see the Timeaus - the Penguin classic edition has an awesome appendix on the myth]. The next step is either to view the acceptance platform as a time of a great civilization ascent [also hinted with Greek columns] or descent [’cause Atlantis was swallowed by the ocean due to its ruling population’s pomposity angering the gods].
Then again, the non-synch crowd and those looking just at the similarities can say ‘meet the new boss, same as the old boss’.

Posting this on myspace was a great experiment. I got detailed rebuttals to points I never made, rants about me and Alex Jones, I got people telling me I was a defeatist and a hater and a traitor. Two pictures, no comment.
People fill in their own gaps. That’s what really interests me about synchromysticism, it’s such a hands-on artform. Juxtapose two photos and watch what people manufacture: I appreciate simple experiments and this one was very fruitful.

If Ron Paul could only get this on his platform for the election he would win bar none:

Justin Boland:
On synchronomysticism:
Look up some of the imagery and commentary on William Burroughs’ scrapbooks:
http://sites.google.com/a/briancassidy.net/burroughs-photo-collage-archive/Home
You can navigate through the synchronomystic images from the corner of the page.
Anyway just do a web search on “Burroughs scrapbooks” (or “Burroughs scrap books” or “Burroughs scrap-books") and you’ll get an idea on what I’m talking about.
Here’s an article aimed mostly at Burroughsian and Beat collectors and people new to what went into Burroughs synchronomystic material:

If you notice: In the Republican one there is a George Bush in the center, in the Democrat one there is a distinct like of Barrack Obama.
I fail to see how this works.
If it’s to get a few happy chears from the Republican side then great, but as far as facts are concerned… meh.
Statistically the Democrats are getting far more registered voters as well as far more donations, might want to look into that.

I’m from England so don’t have strong opinions on US politics, but seriously this is a remarkably stupid blog post

THANK YOU to the last two commentators for continuing the LULZ. As long as you know you get it, there’s no need to think.

HOW CAN YOU EVEN IMPLY that they’re “the same” person? That’s retarded, how can you not see the HUGE differences is policies. Life WILL BE DIFFERENT under Obama than it was under Bush. They’re NOT THE SAME. You might as well be getting a check from the GOP for pushing this kind of defeatism and conspiracy theory.

Heh seems the political web enforcers are out.
“You’re talking like a medieval serf, asking the first agnostic whether he worships God or the Devil.”
That quote for some reason sprang into my mind.

Why do you hate America? Next thing we know, you’ll be saying that home prices can go down and that SUVs are expensive to fill up.

So the subtle differences imply the management is tuning their delivery? What can we expect for 2012?
