Eugenics USA: Valone Report on the Human Betterment Foundation

Posted Jul 06, 2007

Eugenics it Still a Mistake Skilluminati ResearchIt's often forgotten that the United States had a booming Eugenics program that got scaled back after the "bad PR" of Nazi concentration camps and mass graves. Eugenics was a brutally simple idea -- the criminals, the weak and the stupid should be sterilized so they can't produce more stupid, weak and criminal babies. The fact this concept is cosmically bone-headed and ignorant of the actual facts of not only simple human experience, but also biology and genetics, is beside the point. People believe what they want to believe and they can prove anything they desire.

Valone's report we present here is an analysis of the Human Betterment Foundation, a highly influential California proto-"think tank" that promoted Eugenics all over the world during the 20s, 30s and 40s.

In a basement at Caltech, 59 gray boxes contain thousands of documents that reveal in detail how an influential group of California men once hoped to direct the fate of the human race. Within the brittle files is the story of the state's long and largely forgotten effort to sterilize mental patients. Memos show how civic leaders helped popularize eugenics around the world, including Nazi Germany. Case histories offer a glimpse of the more than 20,000 people who were, by law, sterilized in state hospitals from 1909 through the 1960s. The Caltech archive contain 16 boxes of patient cases that will remain closed until 2005. But hundred of unnamed records offer sketchy profiles of patients and the motives of doctors who operated on them.

Valone continues:

...let me say that I know those 59 gray boxes in the basement at Caltech very well, and I'm one of only two or three people who have looked through them all. The documents, by the way, are not that brittle, with the exception of the several hundred individual case reports on people who were sterilized at the Sonoma State Home for feeble-minded infants and children. Those are the records in the boxes that will remain closed until 2005.

We will be exploring the roots and the fruits of the Eugenics meme in the weeks to come here at Skilluminati Research, but one last excerpt should convey the slippery nature of tracking this beast -- not to mention the many innocent-looking masks it has come to hide behind:

Although the Human Betterment Foundation was dissolved in 1943, the efforts that the Foundation had made promoting eugenic sterilization, especially among the medical community, were continued by two successor Foundations: Birthright, Inc., based in Princeton NJ, and the Human Betterment Association of America Inc. based in New York City. This organization has gone through a series of subtle and not so subtle name changes, first to the Human Betterment Association for Voluntary Sterilization, then the Association for Voluntary Sterilization, Inc.; it is still in operation, based in New York City and operating under the name EngenderHealth (an organization that now has as its slogan ?Improving Women's Health Worldwide"). Birthright received most of the records of the Human Betterment Foundation regarding its work on sterilization programs on the United States. Birthright also continued to receive the financial and spiritual support of C.M. Goethe. The Human Betterment Association for Voluntary Sterilization took up the mission of the HBF in promoting sterilization internationally. Among its sponsors were Lois Gosney Castle, Goethe, and Popenoe, It was during this period, beginning in the middle of the 1940s and increasing in speed in the years immediately after the war, that the American eugenics movement reformulated itself along two fronts: first, as promoters of a reductionist biological science that would eventually help to foster the origins of modern molecular biology, and secondly, most relevant for our purposes, as promoters of a new worldwide population control movement.

William S. Burroughs on the Virus of Language

Burroughs and Mugwump

The Lizard King speaks for himself and needs no motherfucking introduction. All I will say to preface this: it's way less insane than it sounds. Head on over to Panspermia.org and read up on Introns. (For a soundtrack, check out DJ Multiple Sex Partners' recent mix "Sound Sigils.") Meanwhile, read, enjoy, think:

My basis theory is that the written word was literally a virus that made spoken word possible. The word has not been recognized as a virus because it has achieved a state of stable symbiosis with the host...(This symbiotic relationship is now breaking down for reasons I will suggest later.)

I quote from MECHANISMS OF VIRUS INFECTION edited by Mr. Wilson Smith, a scientist who really thinks about his subject instead of merely correlating data. He thinks, that is, about the ultimate intentions of the virus organism. In an article entitled VIRUS ADAPTIBILITY AND HOST RESISTANCE by G. Belyavin, speculations as to the biologic goal of the virus species are enlarged ...

?Viruses are obligatory cellular parasites and are thus wholly dependant upon the integrity of the cellular systems they parasitize for their survival in an active state. It is something of a paradox that many viruses ultimately destroy the cells in which they are living..."

And I may add the environment necessary for any cellular structure they could parasitize to survive. Is the virus then simply a time bomb left on this planet to be activated by remote control? An extermination program in fact? In its path from full virulence to its ultimate goal of symbiosis will any human creature survive? Is the white race, which would seem to be more under virus control than the black yellow and brown races, giving any indication of workable symbiosis?

"Taking the virus eye view, the ideal situation would appear to be one in which the virus replicates in cells without in any way disturbing their normal metabolism.' This has been suggested as the ideal biological situation toward which all viruses are slowly evolving..."

Would you offer violence to a well intentioned virus on its slow road to symbiosis?

It is worth noting that if a virus were to attain a state of wholly benign equilibrium with its host cell it is unlikely that its presence would be readily detected OR THAT IT WOULD NECESSARILY BE RECOGNIZED AS A VIRUS. I suggest that the word is just such a virus.

Doktor Kurt Unruh von Steinplatz has put forth an interesting theory as to the origins and history of this word virus. He postulates that the word was a virus of what he calls BIOLOGIC MUTATION effecting the biologic change in its host which was then genetically conveyed. One reason that apes cant talk is because the structure of their inner throats is simply not designed to formulate words.

He postulates that alteration in inner throat structure were occasioned by virus illness ... And not occasion ... This illness may well have had a high rate of mortality but some female apes must have survived to give birth to the wunder kindern. The illness perhaps assumed a more malignant form in the male because of his more developed and rigid muscular structure causing death through strangulation and vertebral fracture. Since the virus in both male and female precipitates sexual frenzy through irritation of sex centers in the brain the males impregnated the females in their death spasms and the altered throat structured was genetically conveyed. Having effected alterations in the host's structure that resulted in a new species specially designed to accomodate the virus the virus can now replicate without disturbing the metabolism and without being recognized a virus. A symbiotic relationship has now been established and the virus is now built into the host which sees the virus as a useful part of itself.

Curious Excerpts from HG Wells “The New World Order”

Posted Jul 06, 2007

HG Wells H.G. Wells Time Magazine Portrait Headshot

I am not going to write peace propaganda here. I am going to strip down certain general ideas and realities of primary importance to their framework, and so prepare a nucleus of useful knowledge for those who have to go on with this business of making a world peace. I am not going to persuade people to say "Yes, yes" for a world peace; already we have had far too much abolition of war by making declarations and signing resolutions; everybody wants peace or pretends to want peace, and there is no need to add even a sentence more to the vast volume of such ineffective stuff. I am simply attempting to state the things we must do and the price we must pay for world peace if we really intend to achieve it.

...

There must be no protection for leaders and organisations from the most searching criticism, on the plea that out country is or may be at war. Or on any pretence. We must talk openly, widely and plainly. The war is incidental; the need for revolutionary reconstruction is fundamental.

...

What are called "democracies" suffer greatly from the rule of old men who have not kept pace with the times. The real and effective disapproval, distrust and disbelief in the soundness of the Soviet system lies not in the out-of-date individualism of these elderly types, but in the conviction that it can never achieve efficiency or even maintain its honest ideal of each for all and all for each, unless it has free speech and an insistence upon legally-defined freedoms for the individual within the collectivist framework. We do not deplore the Russian Revolution as a Revolution. We complain that it is not a good enough Revolution and we want a better one.

...

A sturdy and assertive variety of the new young will be needed for the police work of the world. They will be more disposed for authority and less teaching or creative activities than their fellows. The old proverb will still hold for the new order that it takes all sorts to make a world, and the alternative to driving this type of temperament into conspiracy and fighting it and, if you can, suppressing it, is to employ it, win it over, trust it, and give it law behind it to respect and enforce. They want a loyalty and this loyalty will find its best use and satisfaction in the service of world order.

DEA REPORT ON BIZARRE ISRAELI "ART STUDENT" PHENOMENA

As the report puts it:

"In general, these individuals appear to be organized into teams of 8 to 10 people, with one person described as the "Team Leader". They are usually encountered in pairs or individually carrying an art portfolio. Several times, they have been seen or admitted to being dropped off by the Team Leader, who returns later to pick them up. The females are usually described as being very attractive, and all are generally in their early to mid 20s. Most admit to having served in the Israeli military. This is not surprising given the mandatory military service requirement in Israel, however, a majority of those questioned stated that they served in military intelligence, electronic signal intercept, or explosive ordinance units. Some have been linked to high-ranking officials in the Israeli military. One was the son of a two-star general, one served as a bodyguard to the head of the Israeli army, one served in a Patriot missile unit. That these people are now travelling in the US selling art does not fit their background."

For further background on this deeply, deeply weird saga, we highly recommend the Slate magazine piece "The Israeli Art Student Mystery". An excerpt:

Then of course theres Theory No.4: that they really were art students. Either they were recruited in Israel as part of an art-selling racket or they simply hit upon the idea themselves. This theory is basically the de facto position held by the U.S. and Israeli governments, which insist that the only wrong committed by the "students" was to sell art without the proper papers. There are almost too many problems with this to list, but it's worth mentioning a few: Why in the world would people try to sell cheap art market to DEA officials? Why would they almost all use the same bogus Bezalel Academy of Arts cover story? Why would anyone running such a racket to make money use foreign nationals without green cards, knowing that they would quickly be snagged for visa violations? And why did so many of these itinerant peddlers, wandering the United States on their strange mission of hawking cheap Chinese knockoff paintings, have "black information" about federal facilities?

There are other theories. One is that these were spies in training, newly minted Mossad graduates on test runs to see how they would operate in field conditions. I asked Stability how hotly the matter was now being pursued in intel and law enforcement. "Depends on who you speak to," he told me. "Some people say that it's a dead issue, a fantasy. Most of the investigations are happening at an ad hoc level. There are people out there that you couldn't sway off some of the cases, because that's how dedicated they are."

Apparently, at least some agents in FBI remain quite concerned about the art student problem. According to several intelligence sources, including Stability, on Dec. 3, 2001, six separate FBI field offices simultaneously forwarded communiqu?s to FBI headquarters inquiring into the status of the investigation. The FBI agents wanted to have a "clarification" as to what was going on.

Omni Interview with Stanley Milgram

Posted Jul 06, 2007

Stanley MilgramYes....that Stanley Milgram. Hated for all the wrong reasons, endlessly inventive and subversive -- Stanley Milgram is our kind of mutant. His infamous obedience experiment is what he's most known for, but as this article shows, it could actually be one of his least interesting experiments. Since it's a pdf, typing out excerpts is a bitch, but I'll do a quickie anyways -- then you can get on down to downloading this puppy. Enjoy.

We all have a ritualized way of communicating with one another, says Milgram. Many of these social conventions mask the real person. Style fogs substance. The Cyranoid provides one means of studying these masks, finding how permeable they are, and discovering where the mask ends and where the real person begins. And since Milgram believes that showing is better than telling, he clicks on a videotape.

The TV screen revealed an ordinary setting. Two students, a man and a woman, sat at a table, talking about the woman's proposal for a psychology project. She was an earnest young graduate student. So was the man. But he was also a Cyranoid, a repeater of words. Everything he said was being fed to him over a wireless electronic hookup inserted in his ear. The other end of the hookup was on the opposite side of a one-way mirror, where Milgram himself sat hunched in front of a microphone, watching and listening to the young people talk. He was talking to the woman through the Cyranoid.

He'd ask, for example, "And what was the purpose of this study?" and a split second later the Cyranoid in the next room would repeat those words, using his own voice and inflections. The woman never realized that the words coming out of the mouth of the man in front of her were being formed by another mind, and that she was in fact talking to someone she could neither see nor hear.

Things got more complicated. Milgram stepped away from the microphone, and another person took his place, continuing the conversation through the Cyranoid. The woman never noticed the difference. Then another person took the mike -- in the span of a few minutes, the woman spoke to three people.

"It's a way of testing person perception," he explains. "It would be interesting to see, for instance, wether or not anyone would notice if you had an 85 year old woman speaking through the body of a 15 year old boy. Or you could test prejudice. Put a black man in a white man's skin."
